Spring break is fast-approaching. What will you do? Do you have a budding artist in the fam, a child with a flare for the dramatic, or a young inventive mind at home? Mesa Arts Center’s Spring Break Arts Camps and creative workshops require minimal experience, if any, and lots of chances for imaginative exploration, new friends, and creativity.
Registration is available now for camps and workshops offered March 9-13. In the lineup you will find Mix it Up! Visual Arts Camps, offering a little bit of everything (a sampler platter, if you will), including painting, collage, sewing and mixed media. Acting Camp takers will spend the week learning acting techniques and rehearsing a play, and families can attend the performance on the final day. From audition to rehearsal to final performance all students will get a comprehensive experience of what it’s like to act. Mural Camp offers an opportunity to contribute to a larger work. In addition to the camps, half-day workshops are also offered. Check out Fusing: Tacky Characters, a glass workshops where students create their own original creatures, and Intermedia Teen Drawing, a more in-depth experience covering contour, geometric forms and more.
