Free Arts Classes for Veterans and Military: Open House Saturday Dec. 15
In some way or another, all of our lives have been touched by the military—whether we personally know someone who has served, or we are simply aware and grateful for the sacrifices veterans make or have made for their country.
Thanks to a generous grant from The Boeing Company, Mesa Arts Center is offering a series of visual and performing arts classes FREE OF CHARGE to veterans and active-duty military members. This unique program offers two sessions of a variety of classes in early 2019. These include welding, glass/flameworking, printmaking, belly dancing, watercolor, jewelry and ceramics. No experience or artistic background in needed to participate.
This weekend, Saturday, Dec. 15 10 a.m. to noon, veterans, service members and their families are invited to learn more about this program and to be among the first to register for the 2019 sessions. Find the open house in Mesa Arts Center’s Art Studios, and enjoy exploring classes, studios and the first resource fair offered by the arts center. Best part—it’s all free to our service members. www.mesaartscenter.com/artsinservice.
