As temperatures rise remember to stay hydrated, wear light breathable clothing, apply sunscreen often and refresh in the artic blast of relief that is sweet-sweet air conditioning.
 
Here are 5 places you can visit to keep cool around Mesa this summer:
 
 
Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum
 
 
Part of the Mesa Arts Center, the MCAM features contemporary art from emerging artist. Chill out while viewing aquatic images from artist William Barnhart’s Seattle Series or spend an afternoon pondering over other current exhibits that include: Patchedby artist Kaori Takamura, and Vantage Point, an embroidery installation, by Maggy Rozycki Hiltner. Hurry! The museum will be closed starting August 17th but will reopen during the new season kickoff on September 11th.

I.D.E.A Museum
 
It might be too hot to build a snowman, but Anna and Elsa would definitely approve of the Once Upon a Time exhibit at the I.D.E.A. Museum. Going on now until September 13th, you can become part of the story as you explore folktales and folklore through activities such as testing your knowledge of fairytale origins, exploring the Greek mythological “family tree”, and creating your very own castle.

Bookmans Entertainment Exchange
 

You might already be there trading in your unwanted old and used goodies but did you know that Bookmans also holds a variety of events for all ages throughout the summer? From Sing, Sign, Play, Saturday Morning Storytime, crafting, book signings and musical guest, you are sure to find a way to beat the heat wave in style.
