This experience will share the story of the early settlers, the building of the canals, and domestic life for men and women in the pioneer days, including agriculture and the 5 Cs. The goal is to teach students and school groups about the settlement of Mesa and pioneer life in AZ. Will include an activity sheet and access to/exploration of primary resource materials to deepen understanding of the subject matter.

A video performance of the Shakespearean classic that is almost identical to the original text, so students studying the text will find most of the material in the performance in their text, and can follow along if desired. Study Guide provided that is engaging, with great graphics/illustrations, and helps students explore and understand the play and its themes. Enables students to prepare in advance for reading/watching the play. This experience will increase empathy, collaborative capacity, risk-taking, motivation to learn and reading comprehension.

Opportunities for students to participate in a pre-show discussion to better prepare them to experience and understand the performance, as well as post-performance opportunities for live streamed workshops with interaction exploring the play, or post-show dialogue with Q&A. Pre-show interactive experiences can explore themes, text, understanding early modern English language and historical context. Post-show experiences can include deepening of learning outcomes and exploration of characters, theatrical choices (costumes, characters, setting), and/or theater/acting workshops or discussion of careers in theater.

Women in Aviation will include stories and artifacts that tell the history of female aviators from the first flight in Arizona through the WASP era and post WWII to present day aviation. The exhibition will also highlight the accomplishments of Falcon Field and Williams Airforce Base. Will include an activity sheet and access to/exploration of primary resource materials to deepen understanding of the subject matter.
