Arts in Mind (AIM) provides free arts engagements for adults living with mild to moderate dementia and their care partner to create art, find community, share experiences and be well. Programs are free to attend and provided onsite at the Mesa Arts Center in one of our state of the art studio classrooms. Classes are typically 60-90 minutes in length, and include an introduction, hands on orientation, and time for both the caregiver and loved one to complete a project. Participants will be assisted by classroom volunteers and the teaching artists. Enjoy free and tasty refreshments each class session too! Participants are asked to please complete a pre and post survey about their experience on the first and last day of class to help measure program success.
Benefits of arts participation for adults living with dementia can include:
Increased engagement and alertness.
Improved sense of well-being.
