Happy New Year! With the new year upon us there can be pressure to become “a new you,” to stick to your resolutions and to compete with your former self, but with anything the opportunity to grow or change is not often an easy journey. Personally, I find it hard to move forward if I haven’t taken the time to completely close my past chapters. Most of the time the hardest things to face in my past are attached to the emotion of anger.
Sometimes anger is not red-faced and screaming with rage; it could be a silent tear drop or a cloak of resentment that you carry with you every day, or any one of many other forms. Whatever anger looks like in your experiences, facing and dealing with that anger could allow you to breathe a little easier. (Trust me!)
Something that always works for me is to focusing on positive energy, by being around and creating good vibes with fellow creatives. I have found a home to do that and to share parts of my story at WordPlay Cafe Open Mic. Join me and meet some amazing people on January 11th. The writing workshop starts at 6pm and open mix begins at 7pm. Hope to see you there!
