Family Day at the Museum

Interactive Touch Tour and Play-Doh Hands-On Activity

The Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum welcomes you to a unique family art experience in which participants are invited to shift typical expectation and are encouraged to actually touch the artwork! Exhibiting artist Stephanie Metz will be at the museum to take families on brief ‘touch tours’ through her interactive tactile exhibition of human-sized hanging felt sculptures. A kid-friendly exploration of her art—the how and why—will be followed by guided hands-on time to make playdough shapes to describe, trade and compare. Enjoy a positive and playful way to learn about observing, shaping and talking about three dimensions with the whole family!

Touch Tours: 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM followed by a hands-on activity.
