An Arizona exclusive! The Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is hailed as one of the greatest orchestras in the world. The CSO's talented musicians are the driving force behind the ensemble's famous sound heard in memorable performances and on best-selling recordings.

 

Internationally renowned conductor Riccardo Muti served as the orchestra's tenth music director and is now its Music Director Emeritus for Life. His leadership has been distinguished by the strength of his artistic partnership with the orchestra, command of repertoire of the past and present, including 17 world premieres, as well as 12 recordings together with 3 Grammy awards among them.

 

With over 40 years of experience, he has led prestigious orchestras, including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Teatro alla Scala. Muti holds numerous honors, including the Italian Cavaliere di Gran Croce, British Knight Commander of the French Legion of Honor. He maintains close ties to the Vienna Philharmonic.
