Known for her whimsical narratives in surrealist-like settings, Arizona artist Corinne Geertsen digitally manipulates photographs from her personally amassed collection of over 30,000 images. Geertsen uses humor to convey the psychological state of the depicted characters, playfully placing many of them in fanciful, and often times, precarious predicaments. For this exhibition, Geertsen collaborated with some fascinating writers to create poetic storylines to accompany many of the renderings.
