When Summer Ends, We Festival

by Jennifer Gastelum | May 8, 2017

I know it feels like we just entered summer, but rest assured we are ALREADY thinking about the fall and so are our fellow downtown Mesa lovers. Summer might mean not ever leaving the sweet relief of air conditioning, but fall means festivals and all of the reasons to get outside again. Lucky for us, Creative Catalysts is often invited to participate and bring some element of creativity and interaction to local events. So not only do we get to attend, but we also get to use our creative juices to come up with interactive projects that will inspire artmaking within our community.

Here are just a few of the upcoming festivals that we can look forward to:

In the past we’ve set up our own art tent for artists to share their work, we’ve made buttons with the community, done a free poetry booth, done a community mural, and invited local artists to live paint and share their amazing talent with festival attendees. So what will we do next? The possibilities are wide open, so put on those thinking caps and reach out if you’ve got an art project you’d like to lead or help coordinate. Let’s make stuff together.
