The Well Fed Artist Workshop Series Will Blow Your Mind

August 16, 2017

First of all, if you are unfamiliar with this super cool and unique workshop that we (Creative Catalysts) put on every year, you must become privy ASAP. I imagine your follow-up comments are one of the following: 1) “Duh, I know what WFAWS is and I go all the time because I’m awesome and they are awesome.” 2) “I’ve seen you guys advertise for them so many times but I have thus far not attended, which I know is CRAY.” or 3) “No one uses the word ‘privy.’”

Any of the above reactions are acceptable if and only if your next thought is, “And I’m totally gonna start going to the Well Fed Artist Workshop Series this year.”

I’m telling you, we’ve been contacting only the coolest humans and best in the biz to give you the most diverse knowledge, viewpoints, exposure, and so many other learning tools for artists and makers to…well, make it. We will officially launch the full calendar with details soon, but just know...you’re in for a treat. These workshops are designed to help you understand the three different roles you play in your business – artist, entrepreneur, and businessperson. Each role has its own key skillset, and the workshops will equip you with a better understanding of how to shift from one role to another.

We have been confirming topics like “How to Talk to Humans About Your Art,” “Tips on Being a Freelancer,” and subjects like social impact and art, grant writing, panels for/of performing artists around the valley, and more! So for the time being, just make sure you mark your calendar for EVERY THIRD WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH from 6pm-8pm, starting in September! We’re excited about our revamp of the structure of the workshops, collaborators, and snacks. (Because, duh.) \

The next series kicks off September 20th - keep an eye out on the CC Facebook page for details!
