Shop local and meet the artist!

by Catherine Shappell | September 19, 2017

No visit to MAC is complete without a stop in The Store.  One can expect to find the artistic, charming and distinctive array of merchandise such as paintings, scarves, jewelry, pottery, photography and glass.  What is not expected is the opportunity to meet and watch an artist transform their creative ideas from a clean white canvas to a water-color painting.  How would you like to meet the artist that created your one of a kind gift or souvenir?  Various artists are available throughout the day to answer questions or discuss the inspiration for their work.

There is a reason AZCentral.com voted The Store as the #1 place to buy Arizona hand-made gifts in 2014.  Each artist is an Arizona local and juried to provide quality of work and ensure a variety of mediums.  The Store is a part of the MAC Foundation and therefore, no sales tax will be added to your purchases.  In addition, 20% of each sale supports the Foundation including classes for youth, seniors and adults with dementia.

This fall when you visit MAC to enjoy a free concert or purchase tickets to an exclusive performance, be sure to stop by The Store.  Hours vary during the week: Tuesday, Wednesday: Noon – 5:00pm, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10:00am – 7:30pm, Sunday: 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Also, open during many major theater performances on campus.  The Store is closed on Mondays.

For more information, visit The Store's page here or call The Store at 480-644-6515.
